How NOT to Treat Wine

by Jiles Halling » Wed Jul 01, 2009 12:38 pm

Take a look at this short video - not for the faint-hearted mind you
What a way to treat a Chateau Petrus or anything else for that matter. Hope the idea doesn't catch on

WoW - I'd order my wine in advance and let it rest for a day before opening!

I had seen "wine angels" in Vegas filmed before, but they seemed respectful of the wine once retrieved.

I surely wouldn't want my wine fetched this way.

And doesn't that woman have the world's worst nasal whine you ever heard in your life?

Best regards,

I have seen a 4 story wine tower in Vegas and there doesn’t look like there is enough room for the wine angels to do stunts. Besides I think in Vegas they are more concerned with “speed” of delivery. I think the wine angels have “wine holsters”.

That's just silly.

Gotta be great for mixing up the sediment in older wine, too.

That whole concept is just not my style. The probability of me ever going to a restaurant like that is extremely close to zero.

Not only do I find the idea stupid, I thought her performance was lame - if you're going abuse the wine, it should at least be a good show.

"This is Petrus. It's from France." Oh, boy . . . .

Wonder if they ever drop any, or if there are any safe-guards against it.

The first time I saw this in Vegas it gave me yet one more reason to despise and scorn Las Vegas. I'll agree that there are some superb restaurants there but if ever there has been a symbol of the most jaded tastes in the known universe, Vegas is it.
