The wines of Burgundy (both red and wine) remain something of a mystery to me so, every now and again, I will pick up something in an effort to learn. This bottling is one such venture.
Light straw color.
Honey and citrus fruit on the nose.
Creamy and rich, somewhat creme brulee-like, lemon, lime and papaya, offering tangy citrus fruit acid, minerally, peppery and very clean.
Very clean on the finish, peppery with citrus fruit peel.
With time, the wine became tarter, showing more lemon and grapefruit rind.
A fairly big and rich wine, but not heavy, supported on a lean structure.
A very interesting drinking experience.
