WTN: Astica Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon 2008

by Bruce Hayes » Wed Jun 24, 2009 6:36 pm

Cuyo, Mendoza
Trapiche

Light yellow in the glass, with green tints.

Orange, grapefruit and spicy on the nose.

Light to medium bodied, tangy citrus acidity, fleshy orange, lemon, grapefruit, clean and refreshing, spicy, peppery, nice mouthwatering lemon toward the end.

With time, the lemon-grapefruit become more dominant and the wime became tangier overall, but still enjoyable.

A mouthwatering, peppery, lemon-grapefruit finish.

Screwcap closure.

A QPR star at $7.45 (Canadian).

The two sides reached a tentative agreement and there never was a strike. :D
