Has anyone ever tasted Moravian (Czech) wine?

I have a coworker/friend who is of Czech descent, and he mentioned today that he found Czech (Moravian) wine pretty outstanding-red and white. Just curious about local experience. He did note that little is exported, and I've never seen it out here, but...

I guess that some of it must be 'outstanding' but obviously that is a very general statement. I went to a lot of wine shops in Prague in 2003 and was not very impressed with the foxy funky white wines I found. But he must know what to buy.

Cool, Daniel. I rarely check out the travel section.

We spent a few days in Prague and the vicinity last fall.We tried a few wines and were unimpressed but I really didn't have a clue what to buy. Loved the beer on tap.
