Question for 30 Second Wine Advisor

Hey Robin, does that Clos La Chance Meritage red really have %11 Sauvignon Blanc or is that a typo? Just curious.

Jim, I haven't seen that issue of the wine advisor, but I would think that if Robin said SB, I would bet big $$ that he meant cab S, otherwise it makes no sense. Clos La Chance makes good wine. Plus there is the truth, that in order to put the word Meritage on the label it has to have certain grapes in the mix, and SB is not one of the grapes.

Jim, sorry I missed your question ... I was out quite a bit yesterday. That was in fact a typo, corrected in the archived edition online: While typing from the back of the bottle to the keyboard, I mysteriously WROTE "Sauvignon Blanc" while I was READING "Cabernet Franc." D'oh! Good catch, though, and I appreciate your asking.
