Tuesday Betsy and I both had full days, I suggested crock pot, but we still had niece and nephew who are pesce-vegetarians with us. So found a recipe for "Athenian shrimp", where you make a tomato sauce and then add shrimp and feta at end (and we added white beans). With a "Greek salad", and the 2007 Bisson Prosecco del Colli Trevigiani. A regular cork, this is just lightly petillant. Apples and citrus fruit, mineral, more rocky than fruity. Nice wine. B+/B
Sister-in-law brought back lobsters as thanks for watching kids, so we had steamed lobsters, a quinoa/bean salad, and the 2002 Domaine Fevre "Fourchaume - Vignoble de Vaulorent" Chablis 1er last night. In drink up queue because lots of reports of PremOx in this bottling, but this was doing quite well, no signs of age at all, a rather fleshy and full bodied Chablis. Lemon, apple, just a hint of flowers and vanilla. Long finish. Stony, not sure I'd have picked as Chablis blind, seems like a leaner Puligny. Excellent in any case. A-
Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C mediocre. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
