Mendoza
Familia Zuccardi
With the regular Fuzion bottling having taken Canada by storm, I thought I would check out this reserve bottling.
Decanted about an hour before supper.
Dark cherry red in the glass.
Not much on the nose, a bit of wood and some dryness.
Medium bodied, charred, faint black cherry and some raspberry fruit, woody, smoky, round and smooth in the mouth, charred, spicy, with some dryness toward the end.
Drying and tart on the finish.
Not really much here to like or dislike, although I do think I consumed this wine a bit too young. Decanting did help a little, but not enough. If I had purchased more bottles, I would be inclined to let them rest for another 12-18 months before trying again.
Purchased at $10.80 (Canadian).
