1998 Lafon Rochet, St. Estephe, Bordeaux
This wine has plopped back and forth between showing either all black or all red fruit in its life; well now it seems nicely integrated into that black cherry & plums realm of bothness. However, where it was very open about two years ago, it's tight and shy right now and acts like a grumpy child awakened after just three hours sleep--it definitely does not want to get up yet. If you have them, let them rest.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

I went very light in the '98 vintage. All I have is a few bottles each of Leoville Barton, Clerc Milon, Grandes Murailles & Troplong Mondot.
