At Wine Styles after a palate cleanser of Torrontes. What a beautiful evening, almost like silk. Summer is almost here, with its median highs of 96 degrees (we are getting 103 on Sunday :() but the evenings in Vacaville can be lovely.

I think is their top Shiraz bottling. I shouldn't really like this, it is 110% New World in style!

C: Almost black in color, with purple rim.

N: Alcohol is present, roasted black fruit, tobacco.

P: Yum. Layers of flavor here, with good acidity present to leaven the alcohol and big fruit. tobacco, blackberry, cassis, even a hint of cherry. A touch of heat on the palate as well, but the mouth feel has a lovely fuzziness that contrasts with the remaining acidity. A very fine wine. 91 points.
