Dark purple, almost black, in the glass.
A lovely nose: tarry, spicy, roasted. With time, these all disappeared and the nose only revealed heavily charred notes.
Roasted-charred, medium weight, quite thick in the mouth, fleshy black cherry, blackberry, cranberry, rich and dense, an acidic edge, showing some heat and shrillness towared the end.
With time, the burned-acidic bitter edge increased in intensity and dominated, despite the best efforts of the fruit.
Burned-charred notes on the finish.
Screwcap closure.
