Wine Cellar Sorbet

by Bob Ross » Wed Jul 26, 2006 9:25 am

A friend of mine is addicted to the "best" pizza in the world made in a shop in Brooklyn Heights. The pizza's ok as far as I'm concerned, but what I really enjoy are the wine sorbets he often brings back for me.

The sorbets are made by David Zablocki and they have about eight flavors at the moment. http://www.winecellarsorbet.com/

Oops, sorry, they are called vintages [at least some of the time]: http://www.winecellarsorbet.com/currvin.htm

The New York Riesling had a very good tangy taste, and the Sauterne worked beautifully with some slightly tart strawberries.

According to the NY Times today, the sorbets contain 5% alcohol, but I don't see that info on the labelling.

Regards, Bob
