WTN: Henry of Pelham Baco Noir 2007

Niagara Peninsula

Purple in the glass.

A rather off-putting chemical smell on the nose, along with burned-charred wood.

Raspberry and cranberry fruit, very dry and tart, lightly pickly on the tongue, light to medium bodied.

A tart, mouthwatering finish.

I really tried to like this wine, but the jolt of acidity..... whoa!! I would have expected more from such a good vintage in Ontario. Close to undrinkable and quite disappointing.

Purchased at $13.75 (Canadian).

Goodness me Bruce. What on earth has happened there? The `06 was very good if you remember my notes!
