WTN: Montalto Pinot Grigio 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Sat Mar 21, 2009 2:45 pm

Barone Montalto
IGT Sicilia

Light yellow in the glass.

Rich citrus fruit and floral notes on the nose.

Medium bodied, juicy and fleshy lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange, quite peppery, tangy acidity, some bitterness.

Mouthwatering and bitter citrus rind on the finish.

A rich wine with a real citrus rind bite. I can see this working very well on a warm summer day.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $9.95 (Canadian)
