WTN: 2006 Salomon/Undhof Grüner Veltliner Reserve Lindberg

Deliciously classic Gruner Veltliner aromas and flavors. It' certainly rich, but the balance is good with no trace of heat (a common problem with the bigger '06 Austrians). Excellent acidity and refreshment value. It's also under Vino-Lok for a closure, so open with confidence.

Sounds delicious - and good to hear about the VinoLok. I love seeing the number of good Austrian wines coming out now under alternative closures. Was absolutely delighted to see my 07 Hirsch Heiligenstein purchases both under screwcap. The Gruner was awesome, looking forward to that Riesling soon especially with the knowledge that it won't be corked.
