WTN: Famiglia Bianchi Malbec 2006

San Rafael, Mendoza
Valentin Bianchi

Deep purple in the glass.

Smoky, tangy, rich fruit and roasted-charred notes on the nose.

Full in the mouth, rich and fleshy black cherry and raspberry, cranberry, intense, light roasted notes, quite tangy, rather thick in the mouth, red licorice, bacon, vanilla.

A tangy, drying finish.

A nice wine, but the tangy acidity seemed to be fighting with the rich fruit.

Purchased at $16.95 (Canadian).
