2007 Cakebread Cellars Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc

89% Sauvignon Blanc, 7% Semillon, 4% Sauvignon Musque
14.5% alc. by. vol.
About $24.00

I figured I'd better post a tasting note before you guys started scanning the obits.

This was a refreshing drop, everything you'd expect from a nice Bordeaux styling. Sprightly but soft. Citrus in, melons out. It has peaked. Not for next year's pleasure. It went well with my blackeyed pea and dill pilaf. Bang for the buck? Half the price would have been more realistic in my twisted world.
And now what?

Yeah. I used to know a guy named Gary B. Or was it Barry G.? Great guy, too. Haven't heard from him in a while.

He stopped being around so much just about the time we decamped for Montana. I just figure he was so heartbroken at not being able to have dinner with us as often as before that he just had no will to post.

Are they celebrating chaharshanbeh soori in Sonoma? We can all jump over a fire together! By the way, I am a grandfather now.

No, no money for wine so no TNs ... unless you want to hear about my experiences with Carlo Rossi. But I am heartbroken all the same.
