Extraordinarily powerful nose, floral plus red fruits. Still youthful, only slight bricking. At first taste, tannins and tar, we decanted for 3/4 of an hour and it was a real delight, though probably still too young. Favorite phase was when3 distinct profiles were discernible: a balsamic/licorice upfront, followed by tar, followed by long finish, tannins but also minerality. A real rollercoaster of a wine that went well with taleggio, roasted vegetables, and homemade (cheese) tortellini.
