WTN: 2007 St. Urbans-Hof Piesporter Goldtropfchen Spatlese

Absolutely delicious wine that's just packed with ripe youthful fruit and drinking beautifully right now. Starts out showing a bit of vinyl on the nose, then layers of flowers, peach, orange, apple and some tropical fruit notes. Rich and sweet on the palate with plenty more ripe fruit flavours that echo the nose, hints of honey and a nice kick of slate and chalk on the back end. There's good acidity underneath that keeps this from ever feeling too sweet. Very enjoyable and great value.

Yum. I am a big St. Urbans-Hof fan. Where did you get this one?

I can see why. Actually I bought this a few days after you had opened that 05 Goldtropfchen Auslese, which was a stunning wine. Got this from Wine Library when they had this on sale some time ago - and also picked up the 07 Ockfener Bockstein Kabinett (which I didn't like as much - thought that didn't quite have the acid to balance the sweetness, unlike this).
