WTN: Adelsheim Elizabeth's Reserve Pinot Noir [Oregon]

Meh. Dried black cherry and cranberry, with some candied notes. Lots of spice notes- clove, cinnamon, etc. Exceptionally smooth- not a rough edge in sight, except for a certain tartness at the back of the tongue, but to my burgundy-calibrated taste this is lacking in tannin and acidity for such a young wine. Not much of a sense of earth/minerality in this one.

For the $40, I'd rather have a good village Burg or a low-end 1er.
