Odfjell Vineyards
A blend of fruit from Valle de Maule (55 per cent) and Valle de Maipo, Chile.

Dark purple in the glass.

Tarragon, star anise, chocolate and some greeness on the nose.

Thick in the mouth, plush and soft, black cherry and blackerry, tarry, thick, a bit firm, good acidity, coffee, some greeness, dark chocolate, gently spicy, powerful, rich and a very big wine.

Drying, spicy and dark chocolate on the finish.

A very impressive wine that will, IMHO, benefit from some short-term aging.

Purchased at $13.95 (Canadian) and a wine for the money.
