Already shows a little lightening around the edges, with a powerful nose: something candied, sweet and floral and maybe some mushroom (but we were cooking with them, too, so who knows).
In the mouth: strawberry going toward cola, getting darker tastes, until around the middle, the oak seemed to kick in, a little vanilla, rounder, though ending w/some tingly acid (tannins?) (not too strong), showing it could definitely age some more. Pretty fun, though a little "generic," especially since, as the evening wore on, it rounded out, lost some of the complexity, and the vanilla/oak came on stronger.

Well, if it is 2005 then I think it can definitely age some more!

Bize's wines have always been lighter in colour than other red Burgundies, and the oak notes suggest you are drinking this way too young, because I don't believe he uses a lot of oak on his wines. Since i have a few of these sleeping, I'll post on it when they wake up in about 5+ years.
