WTN: 2007 Magnotta Riesling Medium-Dry VQA

$9.25 at the Magnotta retail outlet. Closed with a composite vinyl cork.

12.5% alc./vol.; 3 g/l r.s. Bright, clear light-green straw. Pine, citrus rind and scintillating minerally aromas; tart Granny Smith apples atop light diesel oil. Vibrant, crisp and lively acidity tempered by balancing r.s. Palate-wakening, electrifying acidity all across the tasting profile. It tastes like electrified tangerine juice. Wonderful crispness and vibrancy from entry to finish. The finish is actually quite light and doesn't last all that long.

A great wine to sip, chilled somewhat, while grilling chicken drumsticks marinated in a preparation of Italian dressing and a mixture of sweet and hot paprika, basil, thyme and savory -- all over hardwood coals with a bit of apple woodchips for smoking.

It's like spring in a glass!
