Anyone tried this? From a huge private winery, and locally available, but no reviews I could find.

A once proud Rheingau producer that has badly under-performed for years, combined with the weirdest vintage in memory does not bode well.

There is a reason the wines do not get reviewed. There's a rumor that the estate might be trying to come out of its coma, but nothing of note has passed my lips since the '83 vintage.

Unless it's really cheap I would stay far away. If it's cheap I might try one based on curiosity.

Thanks David - I had the same qualms. Not cheap, just reduced locally. $38 Can. Think I'll pass!
