WTN: Cachazo Carrasvinas Rueda Verdejo 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Wed Feb 04, 2009 7:51 pm

Felix Lorenzo Cachazo

Light yellow in the glass.

Spicy, citrus rind, honey on the nose.

Medium bodied, round in the mouth, good zippy acidity, lemon, lime and grapefruit, peppery, rich, very racy, clean and refreshing.

I did notice during the course of the evening that the wine was much better if not served too cold, as the colder temps masked many of the more subtle features and produced a simple, tangy, lemon-driven wine.

A long, peppery, tangy, lemony finish.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).
