Finger Lakes Wine Festival
What: More than 70 wineries from upstate New York offer tastings and sales; also on site will be food vendors, arts and crafts, wine seminars, cooking demonstrations, live music, and rides in pace cars around the track.
When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 15-16; an opening event is 6 p.m. today. Where: Watkins Glen International raceway, about 3 miles west of Watkins Glen on 2790 County Route 16 Admission: Includes souvenir tasting glass. One-day adult (21 or older), $30; two day adult, $35; minors and designated drivers, $10 a day. The Launch of the Lakes event today costs $15.
