I wanted something good to drink tonight with dinner of sauteed ham, freshly picked garden cabbage, onions, and carrots, and this wine fit the bill. Quite interesting flavors running in the cherry/peachy direction, with good depth, good acidity, and a lengthy finish. Slightly sweet, but with that character that says the sweetness has faded over time into an almost indefinable taste of age, but still with good fruit flavors, this wine was excellent. My sense is that it won't get much more complex and it is at a very nice point to drink now. I'll definitely check out Kruger-Rumpf again based on this wine. A nice wine with which to watch the highlights of Wuthering Heights on PBS. Jim PS... A Nahe wine
