There was discussion about Meulenhof, based on a 2007, recently:

This 2001 was truly excellent, though certainly not alone in that regard among 2001 Mosel Rieslings.

Really very nice wine. Certainly spatlese weight from this ripe vintage, but excellent acidity and carries residual sugar with grace. Minerals in abundance and luscious fruits including apple and citrus. Lovely match with arctic char sauteed in butter/wine/capers.
A glass finished after salad with vinaigrette -- certainly a challenging thing for a wine to do -- stood up well because of the richness and acidity, with a prominent grapefruit flavor brought out by the vinaigrette.
Drinking great now but no hurry. I'd bet on this to be very good at age 15 too.

It is pretty much open season on the '01s now. I've had very good luck the last few months.
