WTN: 2006 René Favre & Fils Petite Arvine

Brand new grape for me! Delicious:

(Switzerland, Valais, Chamoson)

92 points: Perfectly delightful wine! Light flowers and citrus on the nose, followed by very fresh stone fruit and lemon and lovely broken stone, wonderfully intense yet airy, beautiful balance of perceived sweetness and acid. Long finish of tart flowers(!) and mineral. This was a very sophisticated treat. 13percent abv, enjoyed with turkey meatloaf.

As you have discovered, Petite Arvine can produce delicious wine. Alas it is hard to find outside its native Switzerland and the Val d'Aosta.

Unfortunately. I loved Les Cretes version of this a couple of years ago.
