Mendoza
Dark purple, bordering on black, in the glass.
Smoky and spicy nose.
Smoky, tangy, raspberry, black cherry, blackberry and raspberry, fairy thick, nicely tart and tangy, quite rich and intense.
After a couple of glasses, the tanginess and tartness increased and the wine lost much of its earlier weight and finesse. With even more time, the acdity level subsidied but the wine never returned to the glory of the first few glasses.
A tangy, mouthwatering finish.
Overall, a disappointing wine.
