2005 Bowers Harbor Vineyards Riesling - Block 11, Old Mission Peninsula, MI
This wonderful Riesling was bestowed upon me by OW Holmes at this past Summer's MOCOOL. The bottle was signed by the winemaker, who instructed me to enjoy it. I did, waiting for the right situation, which was New Years Eve. Natural cork, brilliant light gold hue. 11.5% abv and 3% RS. Citrus and apples on the generous nose. I'm more used to Rieslings in the 1.5% RS range, but this wine was very well balanced with good acidity with a long full finish. It was a perfect match with the CRAB STUFFED TROUT and all the dinner guests loved it. Thanks for this OW!
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.
