2005 Hexamer Schlossböckelheimer In den Felsen Riesling Spätlese
$23 from Crush, under screwcap. Opened this to go with some Thai stir-fried noodles with basil, chicken, mixed vegetables and peanuts. Shows the sweetness and richness of an Auslese with a flavour profile of mango, pink grapefruit, cherries and flowers over a bed of stony minerals. Medium bodied with a satiny texture in the mouth, good acidity underneath and some spicy and honeyed notes emerging with some air. Really well balanced wine that's delicious to sip on its own and wonderful with the food as well, matching both the slight heat and wide flavour range of the dish.

So I've heard - I remember you and Mikhail saying some really good things about Hexamer's 07s after the DI tasting. Hope Table & Vine have some. :D
