Punta Nogal Carménère 2004 - Colchagua Valley, Chile
This is a soft deep wine with a saturated deep red colour, a smoky aroma and is full of smoky, savoury, liquorice and ripe berry flavours. Enjoyed at a barbecue with sausages and steak, it was rich, creamy and delicious. It suited the occasion perfectly. 14% alc. Cork closure

I won this bottle at the weekly wine tasting I go to. It is first time I've tried this producer, but one of the 'cleanest' Chilean carménères that I've tried.

Evidently the parent company is Banfi.
