2005 Sine Qua Non Petition: This is a blend of Chardonnay and Rhone varieties Roussanne and Viognier. Medium gold, full rich nose of pears, apples, honeysuckle, smoke, full body, mouthcoating, oily, rich ripe fruit and a hit of oak, long finish with persistent fruit, wouldn't expect this to get any better, but outstanding now.
Sounds lovely (if a bit rich). Sine Qua Non is a blind spot wine for me. I do not generally like the overall style of such wines, but Manfred seems to get it right.
