WTN: Quinta De Azevedo Vinho Verde 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Wed Jan 14, 2009 6:56 pm

A blend of Loureiro (70 per cent) and Pederna.

Light yellow in the glass.

Light nose, spicy, melon.

Light bodied, prickly-effervecence, lemon, lime, a hint of apple and peach, crisp, good acidity, clean and refreshing.

Grapefruit rind on the crisp, mouthwatering, long finish.

Purchased at $11.95 (Canadian) and a good deal at the price.

Nice note, just what one would expect from this wine.
Bruce, as an aside, you have any Muscadet out there in Ontario? Which producers?

Quite a few Muscadet, Bob. Can't think of producers off hand, but I have posted several WTN over the course of the last year.
