Barring back surgery for Jeannette, we will both be there.
Can we get more of the DC and NYC crowd in?
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

I don't think the NYC folks are gonna be enamored of visiting Philly after last weekend. :!:
Cheers!

What? Who will let a little football game get in the way of some wine-drinking pleasure? Cynthia and Stuart are managing to keep the peace (I think or has Cynthia finally Bobbitted Stuart?)

Howie and Pete are gonna be there. Can we get any commitments from the DC crowd? Jon? Krystyn? What about JC? Any Baltimorons?
(Go Steelers!)

Hi, Lizbeth! No set theme here other than anything that goes with Branzino's menu. Lots of seafood, but, other pastas/meats as well. Hope you can join us!

I'd love to be there, Paulo, especially since it's so close to your birthday, but there are only 2 flights a day out of here and they both cost something like $1000 to get to Philly. And since I am a poor starving artist now..... :(

Does Southwest fly out of Louisville? They are having a heck of a sale right now.

Edit - In fact you could fly out Saturday morning and fly back to Louisville Sunday afternoon for just over
$400!

Isn't it an oxymoron to be involved in wine and talk about budgets in the same thought? There is certainly some conflict between 'wine' and 'budget.'

Here's an idea......get that local rag you write for to foot the bill! Articles about Philly restaurants, cheesesteaks, sightseeing......that should get their interest!

Also, as a CPA and operations controller, I'd make this suggestion if you're really serious about the budget thing: charge the airfares to your wine budget. After all, they are related to wine. Alternatively, since it is only January, re-do the budget. Plenty of time left to shift moneys between categories!! 8)

I'm sure that Mr1K, as a CPA, can come up with some more workarounds to help solve your predicament. See ya in Philly! :D
Cheers!

Since you are a poor starving artist, it is imperative you get out of Montana and eastward! Philly, being a major metropolis, actually has food available, prepared, ready for you to eat. Much easier than that Montana exercise of foraging in the wilderness through 3 feet of snow at temps approaching 0 degrees Kelvin! Also, Philly has people that know what art is and are willing to pay to acquire it! In Montana, art is limited to the design of the brand affixed to the cow's ass!!!!

Hope you can make it!
Cheers!

I always do that. ;) Well - all wine-related trips, and certainly WLDG community gatherings count.

Lizbeth!
It's not my first, but I am psyched, too! I don't believe any of one us has met all the players, so this should be a great evening to get acquainted with fellow wine lovers.

Looking forward to meeting you soon!
Cheers!
