Domaine Cazes Rivesaltes Ambré 1995

Beautiful amber color, as suggested by the label. Honey, fruitcake and caramel on the nose. I made the mistake of drinking this too cold at first. Smooth sweetness buoyed up dried apricot and caramel flavors. Quite a long and pleasant length. I will try it again. Made from 100% Grenache Blanc and kept in oak barrels for seven years before bottling.
Guide Hachette 2005 gave this 2 stars. The Revue du Vin de France gave it 17/20.
