Chateau Teyssier 2002 Montagne Saint-Emilion 13.5 % vol. 7-08-06 $ 18.00

This wine has an average ruby red color. The nose shows dried cherry (dull), a good amount of spice and meaty plums. Cedar is also very present, if not even a tad overbearing. This is a lighter bodied wine on the palate with supple plumy fruit and mouth drying tannins. There is a good deal of spice and cedar-new-oak flavors, which seemingly over power some of the fruit. The wine drops off very quickly in the finish, short and forgettable. I welcome however the structure and flavor profile of Bordeaux again, even though it may be a slightly lackluster wine.
