From a winery about 2 kilometres from the restaurant, a blend of
Gropello
Marzemino
Barbera
Sangiovese
Tasted a bit alcoholic at first so I asked for an ice bucket and cooled it for 15 minutes.
Condensation on a red wine bottle looks a bit strange but the wines fruit was now to the front with a depth of cherry and strawberry with a Peppery spicyness.
Long finish showing mint and soft sweet leather.
A delighful wine, the last red of our holiday.
