WTN: Lustau "Capataz Andres" Sherry

Lustau' Deluxe Cream Sherry. A blend of Oloroso and PX. By far, my favorite of the sweet styles of sherry I've tried so far. I usually prefer Amontillado, but the PX sweetness balanced by the smoky, nutty and caramel overtones of the more spiritous Oloroso is wonderful blend.

You could drizzle this over a slice of warm pound cake and top with a dab of whip cream and pair it with a glass of the same.

About $20.00

You have brought back some good memories. Nutty and carmel are the dominate flavors. Sweet but not syrupy sweet. We visited the estate several years ago and enjoyed the wines. It is a shame the wines are not more available and more frequently drank. Good stuff. We prefer Amontillado.
