About $13 for a one-liter bottle. Terry Theise Selection.

Not a blockbuster, but understated with a bit of finesse. Light on its feet with characteristic pear and mineral flavors. Oddly well balanced in spite of very minimal acidity. A most elegant quaffer.

This was the second bottle that we'd opened in the last six months, and we drank it over the course of three nights. I recall the first bottle as being pleasant enough, but not memorable. However this one really sang to me. Might it have had something to do with the fact that the wine served as a nightcap after I'd put in some long days of hard work sweating in the sun? As many of you know from experience, a cold bottle of beer can really hit the spot in those circumstances. It is my opinion that a German riesling like this takes that experience to a whole new level. Try it sometime!
