Was curious to try this WLDG favorite. Restrained aromas of cherry, pepper and green stems, the last somewhat pinot-like. Good, dense mouth feel, with pepper and notes of smoke. Well-integrated alcohol. Substantial acidity, with rich fruit providing sweetness to match. Very balanced. The sweet cherry is candy-like, reminiscent of Life Savers, and is backed with the kind of caramel found in caramel apple. With aeration, a surprising pear note emerges, something I had not previously tasted in a red. Good stuff, with character, though not exactly my cup of tea.
"I went on a rigorous diet that eliminated alcohol, fat and sugar. In two weeks, I lost 14 days." Tim Maia, Brazilian singer-songwriter.

I had this blind on Tuesday & wasn't fond of it. I have a few bottles & will tee one up in the near future.
