Spinelli Srl

Dark purple in the glass.

Black cherry and vanilla on a drying nose.

Medium weight, black cherry, blackberry, a little vanilla, drying tannins, turning austere toward the end.

With time, the wine became quuite firm, with drying tannin.

Very drying, tannic and austere on the finish.

This wine has garnered a few positive reviews in Ontario so I thought I would take it for a test drive. To be fair, I did, for reasons I won't get into, open it the night before and had a small glass and then resealed it with the screwcap. I am wondering if this previous opening might have contributed to the dryness and austerity.

For the price, I would be willing to give it another chance.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $6.95 (Canadian)
