I think the continued existence of Beaujolais Nouveau severely deflates the already low expectations from Beaujolais. Why they don't see fit to get ride of BN I'll never know - it demeans the rest of the appelation, and is a major part of the reason why the general public sees Beaujolais as a non-serious wine region. No doubt many COMPANIES make money on it, but it hurts every other grower in the region. Bah humbug!!
