With herbed pork tenderloin (tasty, though we had a little mishap when Betsy added some more liquid - cold- to the Pyrex pan- bam!), a risotto with squash, radiccio, and saffron, and some chard, the 2006 Coudert "Clos de la Roilette" Fleurie. Lovely ripe red fruit, floral nose, nice texture. There's some interesting earth/meat things going on aromatically that remind me more of Rhone Syrah than Gamay, but the fruit is classic Fleurie. Light but firm tannins, this could last, but why wait? B+
Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C mediocre. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
