This was part of an in-store "Red Wine for Turkey" tasting I went to last night at Table & Vine in West Springfield, Massachusetts (my favorite retailer btw):
This is one fantastic QPR. I put the glass to my nose & immediately started scribbling "raspberry!" Then comes the cherries, the creamy strawberry, a little spice, a little dusty earth, and then a little bit of freshly sawed lumber (not somew big, oaky element, but rather the exact aroma from the sawdust after a board has been cut...I love that smell). It's all replayed in elegant, long form on the palate & finishes with a bright, blanaced acidity. This is one yummy wine for $19.99 (before discount).
