WTN: 2000 Château La Fleur de Boüard

by David M. Bueker » Fri Nov 14, 2008 9:30 pm

2000 Château La Fleur de Boüard - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Lalande de Pomerol (11/14/2008)
This wine is nowhere close to ready. Still it's a compelling drink, stuffed to the cork with mineral backed red and black fruit. What oak there was has blended into the background, and now it's just a youthful, balanced, fruity, young Bordeaux. Why I keep opening bottles is beyond me, as this wine needs another 5-7 years to start to reach its peak.

Thanks for the update, David. I've got a few of those rotting in the cellar. Now I know to keep my hands off of them for a while longer, not that I was in that much doubt...
