WTN: Rosenblum 2005 Rockpile Road Zinfandel

On the nose some hints of chocolate, vanilla, raspberries and blackberries. On the palate a nice mouth-coating mix of ripe berry fruit, black pepper, leather and exotic spices. The tannins suggest that this low acid jammy wine could probably cellar a bit longer.

Overall a solid B+. $24.

I believe that there are other wineries in Dry Creek that source their grapes from Rockpile. Mauritson, I believe is one. The other names escape me right now, but some gorgeous Zinfandels come from Dry Creek.
