For Rahsaan, a chardonnay tasted at MacArthur's in DC, Saturday, November1, 2008.
2007 Moulin d'Argent Chardonnay 'Classis" from the Vin de Pays du Jardin de la France (western Loire).According to the advertising, this is vinified under mololactic fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless tanks. It was mostly lemons and limes on my palate. There were definitely some flavors of creaminess underneath (white peach and bananas? according to the advertising). It had a nice clean finish. We bought two bottles at $9.99. I would easily buy it again at its regular price of $11.99. It was a very nice chardonnay and I am generally not a chardonnay drinker.
