WTN: Antiguas Reservas Chardonnay 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Tue Oct 14, 2008 7:24 pm

Cousino-Macul
Valle Del Maipo

Light gold in the glass.

Rich, buttery, peppery nose, with some vegetal notes and some sulphur.

Rich, viscous, lemon, lime, peppery, a real tangy edge, vegetal, sulphur, honeyed, toasty. The tanginess and the citrus edge provides a good tension with the rich flavours.

Peppery, citrusy finish.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).

Hey Bruce, nice. Tasted this Chard downtown last week, along with the Cab Sauv. No TNs but certainly good entry level juice.

The cabs are also best buys in both regular and reserve.
