This is a relatively new producer from San Juan, Argentina. San Juan is a very dry province in Argentina where syrah plantings are very promising, according to those in the know. This one is 100% syrah from Zonda Valley. Very dark purple with aromas of black berries and toffee. Full body and hot, 15% abv. Dark berries, caramel, compoted black fruit and charred oak. Very little acidity and not much in the way of tannins, this is a fruit bomb with limited varietal character. Medium finish. Not my favorite style. Easy pass for me.
